These are the Reiki Precepts, or principles for daily living, that Dr. Mikao Usui (the founder of Usui Reiki) set forth as a guide to living a harmonious life. In striving to live within these guidelines, along with experiencing Reiki energy, he felt that one will find the "secrets to happiness" within the mind, body and spirit.
The demands of daily life often produce stresses that affect our mind and body on different levels. When you feel you are not at your best or that something is lacking, whether it be mental, physical, emotional or spiritual, this indicates a need for your body’s energy centers to be balanced or unblocked.
Reiki is a Japanese, complementary, holistic modality that uses energy to enhance and maintain well-being or promote healing by clearing blocks through stress-reduction and relaxation. It is a gentle, non-invasive technique that helps establish a calm state of equilibrium, or homeostasis, where oftentimes the body then can start on a path of natural healing.
